Rule the Game—And Your Future
Being a Maryville College Scot will help you form lifelong friendships and grow as part of a team. You’ll learn to work seamlessly with people from different backgrounds and perspectives, and develop leadership skills that will serve you in the game as well as in life.
We’ve had athletics teams since 1876, and today we have 16 NCAA Division III varsity teams. Fourteen of those teams compete in the Collegiate Conference of the South, and two (football and women’s golf) compete in the USA South Athletic Conference.
And our athletics culture is an excellent reflection of just how active our campus is: 30 percent of all students play on a varsity team (and over half play an intramural or club sport).
Thirty percent of our students are athletes who succeed in the classroom, as well on the field and court. Since 2000, we’ve claimed 95 conference titles, 12 USA South Athletic Conference Tournament titles and 57 NCAA Tournament appearances. Since 1876, the College has produced 82 All-Americans.
